The Cylons
Description: Cylons are living machines created by a race of reptiles long ago. They are bigger and stronger than humans. They seek to colonize and control the universe.
Biological Description: TThe Cylons are a race of super-machines. They physically resemble humans covered in Metal. The leader of all the Cylons, Imperious Leader is the only Cylon who physically resembles the original biological Cylons. Most Centurions have silver armor, though senior officers have golden armor. Th IL-series has a cone like head and have individual personalities. Civilian Cylons are made of of both IL-series Cylons and Centurions which serve other tasks outside the military, It is still unknown when they switched from being a just war machines and started becoming a race.	Society Description: Cylon Society follows the leader/follower model. The centurion is the backbone of the Cylon war machine. They pilot the various cylon ships and are quite adapt at handling all the menial tasks for the society. Two types of Centurion exist. The silver centurion is the lowest in stature because of its less sophisticated intellectual systems. The Gold Centurion is the field commander of all low level operations. The IL Series is a more advanced Cylon in terms of intellectual ability. It lacks the physical strength and endurance of the Centurions however. The IL series most often serve in advisory roles to commanders and hold command positions on basestars and outposts. Being highly intelligent, the IL series a group of plotters and opportunists. No orderly means of succession has been developed; if an Imperious Leader show weakness, it is replaced by whatever Cylon has the power to eliminate it. The Cylon Supreme Commander is the most advanced Cylon being in existence.	General History Description: The original Cylons were a technologically advanced reptilian race. As they died out a millennia ago, little is known of their society. They must have been warlike and imperialistic since at the time of their extinction they had already conquered hundreds of other worlds. The key to the success of the early Cylon's conquests was their development, first of sophisticated robots, and then of fully intelligent androids. These machines were build to withstand enormous stress and to have great strength and powerful computational capacity. Armies of them swept through the galaxy. In time, the machines became superior and the Cylons themselves were destroyed by their own machines. The androids continued the mission of destruction to which they had been assigned. Sweeping through the galaxy even more ruthlessly than their creators. The directives of their programming crystallized into a single Edict of extermination all intelligent life forms in the Galaxy.
